Consultation was open in January and February, with feedback gathered through multiple channels to ensure broad participation.

In total we heard from 515 people through in person consultations, online survey and hard copy forms, resulting in a diverse range of insights to support the development of the plan.

To broaden the consultation, we also collaborated with many organisations across the community, with several of these playing an active role in supporting and promoting the consultation through different forms of engagement.

Next steps:

  • The feedback will be collated and used to inform the development of the Draft Universal Access & Inclusion Plan 2026–2030.
  • An update will be shared with the community by mid-2026, outlining how community input has influenced the Draft Plan.
  • The final document is expected to be adopted at a future Council Meeting in late 2026.
