Toolamba and Old Toolamba Structure Plan Round Two Engagement Report

16 December 2025

In June 2024 community engagement was conducted to guide the development of the Toolamba and Old Toolamba Structure Plan.

The initial engagement aimed to understand what the community valued about their town and what they thought could be improved.

The results of that engagement were used, along with other inputs, to develop the Draft Toolamba and Old Toolamba Structure Plan.

In June and July 2025 community members and stakeholders were given the opportunity to comment on the draft plan via an online survey and two drop-in sessions in Toolamba.

Key Findings

  • There was strong support from the survey and drop-in sessions to the strategies and actions outlined in the draft plan.
  • Drop in participants generally supported reticulated sewage but had some concerns over its feasibility.
  • Drop in participants expressed a strong desire for the shop to reopen (in current or new building) and an improvement in other infrastructure and other services.
  • Drop in participants indicated a desire for safety and other improvements to the roads.
  • Drop in participants indicated mixed views in relation to smaller lot sizes, some wishing to keep them large while others supported smaller lot sizes to increase housing diversity.
