Council’s Roadside Weed and Pest Program (RWPP) is part of a broader state-wide initiative aimed at preventing the spread of invasive weeds and pests on rural roads. The program focusses on controlling Regionally Prohibited, Regionally Controlled and Restricted Declared noxious weed species, predominantly on High and Very High Conservation Roadsides within Greater Shepparton.

The Draft Roadside Weeds and Pests Control Plan 2023-2026 (the Plan) will assist Council to identify the emerging or prevalent weed and pest species along Council’s rural roadsides to prioritise and enable appropriate control methods and timing. Community feedback is vital in shaping The Plan, ensuring that it aligns with local priorities and concerns.
