Are you a young person aged 13-25 with a passion for film-making and a desire to make a difference in your community? Greater Shepparton City Council is seeking diverse young people to participate in a unique opportunity to explore emerging public health challenges and create short films that showcase your perspectives and talents.

As a participant, you will attend 3 workshops led by experts in public health and film-making, collaborate with like-minded peers, and receive support to bring your creative vision to life. Your film will be premiered and exhibited across the community, giving you a platform to raise awareness about the issues that matter to you.

In addition, all recruited participants will receive a JB Hi-Fi $200 voucher upon submitting a valid film entry to the festival, provided they have attended at least 2 out of the 3 workshops.

You will be required to bring your own smartphone or tablet.

The day-long workshops will be held during the following periods in July and August. You can select your dates of availability from these options:

  • Workshop 1: Saturday, July 5 to Monday, July 7 2025
  • Workshop 2: Saturday, August 2 to Sunday, August 3 2025
  • Workshop 3: Saturday, August 16 to Sunday, August 17 2025

Please note that only one day will be chosen for each workshop. Therefore, indicate your maximum availability for each period. Preference may be required to be given to those with the most availability.
