So, what’s happening with KidsTown?

KidsTown Adventure Playground has been a much-loved part of Greater Shepparton for almost 30 years. Sadly, age and flood damage have taken a toll.

From the August 2025 Council Meeting, Council resolved to:

  1. Begin a comprehensive community engagement process to shape a new KidsTown Master Plan.
  2. Allocate $650,000 in 2025/26 for essential rehabilitation works in collaboration with key stakeholders.

This marks the beginning of a journey to secure the future of KidsTown as a safe, inclusive, and iconic space for generations to come.

Your voice, our next step

Consultation for its revitalisation is now underway, with planning, development and construction works highly anticipated by the community. Before we hold our in-person Community Information Sessions at KidsTown, we want to hear from you.

Your input now will help us get the conversation started and ensure that future decisions are shaped by community needs and aspirations.

The answers to these questions and more will be shared over two Community Information Sessions held on-site at KidsTown. The dates are listed elsewhere on this page. We will also collate the answers to your questions to share publicly on our Project Page's FAQ section.
