Greater Shepparton City Council, in partnership with the Goulburn Broken Catchment Management Authority (GBCMA) and Victoria State Emergency Service (SES) have undertaken flood scoping studies for Tallygaroopna and Katandra West.

These studies were identified in the GMCMA 2018 - 2028 strategy.

What is a flood scoping study?

The purpose of a flood scoping study is to:

  • raise awareness;
  • inform future updates of the municipal flood emergency plan;
  • identify risks;
  • identify future studies; and
  • highlight mitigation works needed to manage floodwater.
